ABBA/MECHATRONICS fire alarm accessories are compliant with the relevant BS/ EN standard(s) and are suitable for use with most manufacturers fire alarm control panels. All fire control equipment meets all current BS5839 and European EN54 standards.

ABBA/MECHATRONICS only supply and install fire control panels which have been developed to meet fully the new European fire alarm standard EN54 parts 2 and 4.

Innovative design and advanced production techniques enable many features to be incorporated within the standard specification, usually only available at extra cost.

The ionisation smoke detector is particularly suitable for identifying clean, burning fires. It incorporates advanced electronic techniques to give the earliest warning possible whilst providing enhanced stability due to its twin sensor chambers. The fast response heat detector combines dual sensing elements for maximum detection efficiency. With a sensitive rate of rise and 60°c fixed temperature mechanism the fast response heat detector is ideal for application in which reliable performance and early warning are critical, and yet the environment makes smoke detectors unsuitable.

The photo-electric detectors use an enhanced chamber specifically designed to be tolerant to long term build up of dust and other contaminants.  The inbuilt high level of immunity to contamination is combined with special signal processing which improves tolerance to short lived transient currents.  Both are factors in the prevention of unwanted nuisance alarms.  The chamber can be easily removed for cleaning and the detector has a remote alarm test feature with the use of a class 11 coded laser key fob.  

The Optical Beam Detectors comprises of a transmitter unit which projects a modulated infra-red light beam to a receiver unit.  The received signal is analysed and should smoke be present for a predetermined time a fire condition is activated.  A momentary isolation of supply to the controller is required to reset the detector.  The system is designed to be mounted so that the beam will project between 0.3 and 0.6 metres below  and parallel to the ceiling.  Lateral detection may be up to 7.5 metres either side of the beam.   The control unit must be located within 100 metres cable run of the receiver unit.  Generally a dedicated monitored power supply is required.

The Reflective Beam Detectors comprise of a single unit incorporating an infra-red transmitter and receiver.  The signal is reflected by a prism and analysed for smoke presence.  Should a predetermined level of smoke be reached, a fire condition is activated, which can be reset by a momentary isolation of power to the detector.  The system is designed to be mounted so that the beam will project between 0.3 and 0.6 metres below and parallel to the ceiling.  Lateral detection may be up to 7.5 metres either side of the beam. Again generally a dedicated monitored power supply is required.

Stand Alone Strobes are designed to provide visual signalling for a range of applications.  Models can be supplied with a variety of coloured lens options and are compatible with the majority of UK fire panels. 

The Sounders have a distinctive low profile shape which is acoustically very efficient, providing high sound output at low current levels.  Solid state electronics and rugged construction provide high reliability and stable performance.
